Dr. Turkos is proud to be one of the few Chiropractors in the area to offer vertebral distraction using the FDA registered VDP-PRO instrument to treat disc compression, herniated discs, and facet syndrome. The VDP-PRO is a handheld instrument used to apply a very specifically targeted spinal distraction force. A 2-3 millimeter distraction of the facet joints and posterior disc space is created to allow herniated discs to begin moving back into the correct position, promote proper flow of hydration and nutrients to degenerating discs, and relieve pressure and fibrotic adhesions around facet joints. The VDP-PRO delivers fast results with often near immediate relief from sciatica, pain from spinal nerve compression, and various additional disc related conditions.
