He is skilled in multiple analysis and treatment techniques including Koren Specific Technique (KST), Neuro-emotional Technique (NET), Torque Release Technique (TRT), Activator Technique, and Vertebral Distraction Pump. In his free time, he enjoys art, playing the guitar, watching historical documentaries, reading, hiking, and spending time with his wife, Lindsay and their two sons.
Dr. Turkos believes in treating both the mind and body to help his patients meet their fullest potential. The body is a dynamic organism, continuously changing and adapting to chemical, physical and emotional stress on a daily basis. Dr. Turkos believes that everyone is different and unique in his/her process of healing and approaches each patient in a vitalistic and non-linear manner.
For an Individual to achieve complete health, his/her physical stresses, chemical stresses and emotional stresses need to be addressed. When an individual is unable to process these stresses, layers of tension build up throughout the body causing symptoms such as headaches, backaches, fatigue, anxiety, etc. Using the viatilistic approach, Dr. Turkos creates unique, individualized wellness plans for each of his patients by focusing not on the symptoms, but rather the cause of the dysfunction a patient is experiencing.
